Welcome to the legal void. By using this search engine, you acknowledge that I, Harry Axford, have absolutely no interest in your data. Primarily because I wouldn't know where to put it (storage is expensive), but also because I have better things to do than track your search history.
Our sophisticated data collection strategy consists of: not collecting anything. When you type something into that box, it goes to a self-hosted SearXNG instance, which strips your metadata, screams into the void of the internet, and returns results. Then it forgets you ever existed.
We do not use cookies. We prefer biscuits. If you visit my desk, I might offer you a Hobnob. Digitally? You get nothing. No trackers, no session IDs, no "personalized ad experience."
We share your data with exactly zero partners. Not because we're noble, but because nobody has asked for it, and again, we don't have it. If the NSA calls, I will hand them a blank USB stick and a confused look.
TL;DR: This is a portfolio project. It's a frontend skin for SearXNG. It's designed to look good, work fast, and respect the fact that your searches for "how to exit vim" are nobody's business but your own.
